Advanced Security Implementation (ASI)
Advanced
Security Implementation (ASI) is the first of two courses that
are required for the Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA)
credential from the Security Certified Program (SCP). The ASI
course, along with Enterprise Security Solutions (ESS) will
prepare an individual for the exams (Enterprise Security Implementation:
SC0-501, and The Solution Exam: SC0-502) required to attain
the SCNA credential.
Advanced
Security Implementation examines and explains the technologies
required to build a trusted network. The ASI course starts with
a detailed discussion of the reasons for building and components
of a trusted network. The course then takes an in-depth look
into Cryptography, where you will examine both Private and Public
Key Exchange, and moves on into Computer Forensics, where you
will use many forensics software programs. The course then discusses
Law and Legislation looking at the legalities surrounding networks
and network security. Lesson Five is a detailed look at Biometrics
and their applications, where you will examine voice, iris and
fingerprint-scanning Biometric devices. The course then moves
into a lesson on Strong Authentication where you will examine,
step-by-step, the process of implementing strong two-factor
authentication with tokens. Finally, the course ends with a
discussion of two of the cornerstones of trusted networks: Digital
Certificates and Digital Signatures.
