i am planing to clear SCNS exam and i am working in APPIN as a ethikal Hacker then can i clear this exam without Security+ certification?

Its better to do the Security+ before you do the SCNS because Security+ gives you a good foundation of the security concepts and the necessart information you need to do SCNS.

Why does SCP not respond to emails. I passed and received the SCNP from EXIN Test center during Nov 2009. Why is it not in SCP Certified Database. I am working with DOD 8570 to verify my SCNP. We are in the process of removing SCP from the DoD 8570 Requirements for IA because of no response from SCP.

I agree with Mr. Spencer. I have sent several requests for information with no reply whatsoever. I have taken both the SCNS and SCNP exams and have not received any notification at all. You would think some sort of certificate would be in order.

Why does SCP not respond to emails? I passed and received the SCNP and SCNS from EXIN Test center during Feb 2010. Why is it not in SCP Certified Database, nor have I received any kind of certificate? I am working with DOD 8570 to verify my SCNP and SCNS. Did I waste $400 on exams?

I have been in contact with Exin Test center. Since November 2009, I finally received the Paper Certification from EXIN. The Exin Certification for the SCNP was entered into the DoD 8570 verification web site listed in the DoD instruction. The org.mil site has been unable to verify any SCP certifications and are also having problems contacting anyone at SCP. SCP will not return phone calls, letters, emails or phone calls from our DMC help desk. Maybe they DO NOT SPEAK or UNDERSTAND ENGLISH???

Comment for all. I have been talking to the Government Certification validation organization. They have not been able to contact anyone at SCP by phone call or email. We have started to talk to the US Department of Justice 600E Street Washington DC on this matter.

They don't answer e-mails, or contact us posting, you leave a message on their answering machine, and no response. I need to recertify, and these people are dead.

SCP contracted with EXIN-exams to adminster tests and certifications. I contacted EXIN at info@exin-us.org and received an electronic copy of my SCNP and SCNA certifications within 24hrs of request.

DoD requires the Security Certification Provider to validate each Certification via the DoD WEB. SCP is not validating any of the SCNP or SCNA certifications. Recent conversations with the DoD help desk, they have no way to contact SCP anymore. EXIN will not assist with validating our Certifications on the DoD Web site. LOST CAUSE AND WAISTED EFFORT, TIME and MONEY for the SCP Certs.

did the SCNP exam on 19/10/2010. just to close down this avenue of study. Its a real shame SCP cannot maintain credability as SCP has been the best security training programmed I used. I guess the authorities don't recognise the value and therefore the investment is not forthcoming. Another case of lack of sponsorship from the top. Lets the authorities can come up with a replacement that matches the SCP content, however based on empiracle evidence, it is unlikely. Sec01: CISSP,CISA,C|EH,CCSA,CCNA,MCSE:Security,MCT,CNE,SCSA,SCNP

SCP is dead. No responce nothing these guys are a joke. If some one hacked their website no one would know. go for CISSP or SCCP or EC-Council these guys are jokes.

Waste of time
I took the SCNS exam in October in the hopes of moving on to take the SCNP exam afterwards. I have sent emails to both Exin and SCP with no response from either party. I just did a quick google maps search for the 825 West State Street address that was listed and the building has units for lease. It may just be an assumption but my guess is that Ascendant Learning is no longer located there.
