Our Philosophy

Advanced, Vendor-Neutral IT Security Certifications

Created as a vendor-neutral program, The SCP delivers both courses and exams that are focused on the most pertinent security information, rather than a particular vendor product or program. By taking this approach, The SCP can stay focused on the skills and the knowledge, without focus on product placement.

Although the program is vendor-neutral, it is not a vendor-absent program. Students in The SCP classes will work hands-on with leading technologies from the leading Security companies. Students who challenge the exams, will find questions about these technologies, as it is our strong philosophy that theory and concepts are not enough.

The SCP begins with the theory, and the common knowledge that is required of a security professional and security architect, then moves into the hands-on technologies that support that knowledge.

Providing three specific levels of certification allows a candidate the ability to focus their skill acquisition and study on the mandatory technologies of defending networks, with the SCNS and SCNP certifications, or continue through to the advanced theories and technologies on the leading edge of IT security with the SCNA certification.
